Frequently Asked Questions:
What types of computer software do you use for research and writing?
Microsoft Excel is normally used to compile and manipulate data, while R can be employed for more in-depth statistical analysis. For writing, Microsoft Word is typically used, and edits can be done using its track changes feature. Alternatively, edits can be made on hard copy using proofreader marks. Website content development and website updates can be made using WordPress.
How do we confirm our arrangement in terms of hours to complete the work, cost per hour, and delivery date?
A draft contract will be emailed to you for your review. This will contain hours to complete the project, cost per hour, and the date for delivering your report/research/website content/edits, etc.
What if I would like help with a second pass of edits when the edits are substantive and numerous?
Unless a second pass is part of the original contract, a new contract will be drawn up for a second look at the document.
What if I have questions about the deliverable (paper/research/article/website content/edits, etc.) once I receive it?
Each contract will specify an arrangement regarding how your questions will be answered and how revisions will be made, if applicable.
How are payments made?
Payments are typically made using PayPal through the EconWriter website’s “Rates” tab. Typically, 40 percent payment is due upon agreement of the contract, with the balance due within 10 days of delivering the final product.
